The news came out of the blue, it was my second week of paediatrics, and my second night shift. Around 3am in the morning I was waiting for a computer to load up and so took out my phone to pass the time. As I read the words "letter of offer - congratulations.." I broke into silent tears in the tiny doctors' office I was sat in! I couldn't believe that after all the dreaming, emailing, then worrying I would have to change my plans, I would really be going to Brisbane.
